We are excited to announce the release of version 1.9.7 for Speech-to-Note, introducing several significant improvements and new features based on user feedback. Here are the key updates:
1. Introduction of Archive Note Feature
We have listened to our users and addressed the request to add an "Archive Note" feature to improve note management. Now, rather than outright deleting notes, users can archive them for future reference.
Archiving Notes:
Users can archive any specific note either from the table view or directly from the note page.
The option to archive a note has been added to the drop-down menu, which previously included actions such as delete, download, and rename.
Once a note is archived, it will no longer appear in the main dashboard table but will be moved to a separate archived notes section.
Accessing Archived Notes:
Access the archived notes section via the user menu, accessed by clicking the user icon in the top-right corner.
In the user menu, a new option "Archive Notes" has been added, alongside existing options like settings and what's new.
On the archived notes page, users can view all archived notes and have the option to either unarchive them or delete them permanently.
2. Increased Character Limit for Custom Formats
In response to user demand, we have increased the character limit for custom formats descriptions and prompts.
Character Limit Change:
The previous limit of 1000 characters has been increased to 2000 characters.
This change allows users to provide more comprehensive descriptions and prompts, enhancing the customization capabilities of the application.
3. Improved Search Functionality
We have enhanced the search functionality within the application to provide a more robust and comprehensive search experience.
Search Improvements:
The search function previously only worked on the title of the notes.
Now, the search function extends to the entire content of the notes, including title, transcript, and summary.
This ensures that users can find relevant notes more efficiently based on any text within the note content.
4. Minor Bug Fixes and UI Improvements
Alongside the major updates, we've also addressed various minor bugs and made UI corrections to enhance the overall user experience.
Bug Fixes:
Resolved minor bugs that were reported by users.
UI Enhancements:
Implemented minor UI corrections to improve usability and aesthetic consistency.
We hope you enjoy these new features and enhancements. Thank you for your feedback and continued support. If you have any questions or further suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact our team at hello@speechtonote.com.
Thank you.
Speech to Note Team.
